Saving Your Blog

Hard to believe that this is where I was several weeks ago enjoying the view in Matunuck!!

On to my question.....I hope that all of you, gentle readers, will weigh in on this question that has been a concern of mine for the past year. Do you plan to save all of your archives on your blog? Or will Blogger or Typepad or whoever save archives indefinately. Perhaps at some point they won't keep saving the archives principally because of bandwidth concerns.

What will you do about saving your blog? Please comment and let me know what you think.

I've wondered about that too but have no answers for you. I hope someone else does.

I've been thinking about it with increasing foreboding. I did save one or two postings as text documents on my desktop but then forgot to keep it up.... Anyway you can be certain that if something can foul it all up, it will, so it probably is best to save before the disaster. Might start this as a theme among bloggers, d'you think?

I know we've had this conversation before, but I still can't find a good way to save my blog as posted on Typepad. I'm looking forward to seeing some answers or suggestions.

You know, I would like to save at least some of my blog for whatever reason. The only way I've found of doing it, to my satisfaction, is to copy and paste into another document. I did that with about a month's worth of posts (and pictures and comments) earlier this year so I could print it out for my brother. It looked great, but it was a lot of work.

I downloaded the archives of my blog to my hard drive. I would HATE to lose over 2 years of thoughts!

Apparently you can send it to an online company and they'll make it into a book for you!

Don't have a blog, but admired your picture of Matunuck. Is yours in RI too? I was on Matunuck beach the last week of August, knitting on said shawl and totally enjoying the surf and sand and half price ice creams. Great views.

Once a year I print mine off, page by page, and have it bound at Staples as a Christmas gift for my non computerized mom. I've made a copy for myself as well.
