Above are the felted mittens I made for Marisa for Christmas!!! They are so soft! Thanks to Carol M I decided to make these out of Garnstudio's wool and angora yarn. Marisa wore them for driving thanks to the Fiber Trends suede palms I bought at
RI Handspun.
Here's the Kilmainham Scarf I made for John. The yarn and pattern are from
Paula, who created this pattern after a trip to Ireland.

What great gifts you made for 'the kids'. I love the driving mitten idea with the suede grips. Gloves just don't keep your fingers warm enough on really cold days.
Your creations look wonderful Cindy. The receipients are very lucky indeed.
The suede palms are a great idea!
HI! I did a search in blogspot for "Crewel" and your blog came up. You have some really nice projects here!! I LOVE the felted mittens!!
Happy New Year, Cindy! Really nice felted mittens--the fact they are soft & you made them for driving is brilliant. The scarf is lovely too! Isn't it great what a trip to Ireland can do to inspire!
