Spring Tidings

Today, my small office window was cracked to air out the room. Not only did the welcome air enter, but the sound of birds chirping in my yard perked me up. April is in the air:

Eliot reminds us from The Waste Land:

APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.
Winter kept us warm, covering
Earth in forgetful snow, feeding
A little life with dried tubers.

As we all know April's cruelty turns the frozen earth eventually to a warmer time. Given our cooler temperatures in RI , my spring hat may still be worn:

Thats the thing about living in RI. The calendar may say its spring but we can still wear out woolen wear for while longer!

Pretty hat!

It's nice to see the completed hat that you were working on at the retreat. I can see the colors of early spring.
