Sunday, St Distaff Day was glorious.
Judy and I headed to the beach and marveled at the warm calm weather. When we first arrived the water was calm with nary a breeze blowing. We walked and photographed all manner of beach life and spun with our spindles. My drop spindle ended up at one point in the sand practically begging me for a picture of it.
Along the path to the beach were salt marshes that reminded me of wet wheat fields.
All in all it proved to be a lovely day.

That's not just any "stick"--I think that's a Forrester! Right? :-) I so want one of those... maybe for my birthday this year. :-)
The blue and gold color combination would make a lovely knit something...
Mmmm. Great pictures. :)
Beautiful day! Winter in New England, eh?
nice day!
Beth S. is a spindle slut. Just sayin'.
I find pictures of spindles on beaches in New England in January immensely funny. :D
Marcy.....who isn't? :)
Funny but true!
I have said before, and I will say it again: You take great pictures, a true artist...
These pictures make me long for the beach! I grew up on the ocean and miss it so much. Thanks for sharing!
What wonderful photos, Cindy! Those colors on the beach are fodder for a gorgeous, handspun, handknit piece, me thinks.
