Vests are just the right type of knitting.........

Yes.............knitting a vest has a lot going for it. Less sewing,no sleeves, less yarn. As you know I've made a vest out of my handspun that I posted last entry. Now I want to make another. I've got a few ideas, but nothing's for sure yet.

Here are some of the choices: All are free except the Chinese Vest. It's a tough decision. Which do you like? Perhaps there's a vest you can suggest.

Tamaqua Vest
Chinese Red Vest (Ravelry)
Boogie Vest
Vine Lace Vest

They're all good. The thing about the Chinese Vest not being free is that if you buy the Folk Vests you'll have a bunch of other nice ones to play about with later.

I'm in the middle of Ruby, out of A Fine Fleece, which has been a very nice knit too.

I like the Chinese Red Vest. The Four Seasons Vine Lace Vest looks like it would be an interesting knit. Lace can be quite nice.

Your vest out of handspun is beautiful. I'm certain that the yarn will help decide which pattern to use. :)

I'm very fond of the Chinese Red Vest and I do own Folk Vests. I just have to find the right red yarn.

I liked them all but seemed to be attracted more to the Vine Lace vest. I have the Folk Vests book and also have been attracted to he Chinese Red vest. Make them all!

I think I like the Tamaqua Vest best!
I also love the one you just finished.

I like the Vine Lace vest myself but they all are pretty. I might even make one for myself. They are so practical.

Tamaqua if you're using hand spun, it would look great with that stitch. My second choice is the Boogie vest.
