Last night I really got going on Marisa's wedding stole. I hope I have enough yarn and she likes the pattern. I still haven't decided what sock yarn to use for my next sock project.....hmmmm. It's always so difficult to decide.
Well....I finally decided to go to the fair. I rationalized over and over.....I don't need fiber...I don't need fiber....I don't need fiber....I don't need fiber. Then I thought ( thanks to Judy) that one can go to a fiber festival and enjoy the ambiance and the creativity. So I'm going after all. Wish me luck resisting the charms of stash enhancement.

Plant Identification and TGIF

Can you identify this plant? I can't remember this plant's name. The flowers are so lovely and delicate. I'll have to check the web for plants sites to help me.
TGIF!!! What a long week, but I've had good news!!! I won't have to teach Monday and Wednesday nights for the next semester!!!! I can knit, knit and spin....yippeeeeee...
I sewed in all the ends of the Rowan t-shirt. And I have been working on a mystery project :)
I need to start a new pair of socks...hmmmmm what yarn will I use. I also need to consider what I will make with my newly dyed silk.

Drum Roll for the Tee...and the DYE MASTER STOVE

The Silk and Cotton Tee is finished. I really like the style, and it fits!!!! It's very soft and comfy as well.
I should report on last night's Knit In At RI Handspun. I happily began to sew up the tee pictured above. Sue was knitting a pair of Opal socks in red, white and dots of blue. Barbara worked on a pair of multicolored socks. She also showed us her booty from MSW....a beautiful skein of boucle yarn and some cotton and rayon for a lovely poncho. Paula, alias Queen of Aran, brought her finished aran that is absolutely drop dead stunning! Judy called in to report she's back from MSW. We can't wait to hear about her fiber fun.

More Projects from the Gang!

They're finished!!! Yep....last night I kitchenered the toes...oops I've been forgetting my pledge to avoid that technique.....guess it's coming more easily these days :)) Now I've got the enviable and well- earned task of choosing another sock project. Hmmmmmm....got to check my stash for goodies....

Here's Marisa's newest summer creation ......a super lightweight cotton t-shirt. I love this color whcih matches the tree buds this spring on the tree that is on our front lawn. I, too, amd working on the famed Rowan t-shirt and hope to post it soon.
Happy belated Mom's Day to all of you!!! I had a good weekend myself.

The Man and His Socks

Ralph finally received his new socks. and they fit!!! Glad they are finished so I can finish two more projects: Opal socks...I'm on the second and ready to turn the heel and my Rowan T-shirt which only needs two tiny sleeves. I CAN DO IT!!!!
Yesterday Sue and I had a great day. We started with cups of DD coffee and then headed out to PASA for our spring foray. Of course...we bought stuff....most of which is in my trunk so I have not taken any photos of the stash enhancement ( I'd better get that stuff out of the trunk this morning ...LOL.).
The rayons were rather nice .....maybe I'll make another summer shell. I even bought some glitsy stuff for a shawl!!! What fun to visit that place. Next we headed to a Chinese restaurant for their buffet...what a day!! Today I'm off to work :(

Fish and Fish
Pansies and the Knit In

More pansies for us to enjoy as well as black Violas!!! I had to show this pic after last night's visit to Sue's Knit In. I told them all about the Violas. We had a great time as usual although we missed seeing some of the regulars. Helane worked on a her second Opal sock. Patty is working on a mysterious project that she began with a garter stitch base. Sue started a sock with her new line of Prisma Opal. Marie continued with her crocheted wedding gift. Paula, queen of aran is finishing a gorgeous hearts of oak sweater that is to die for. I worked on Paula's Kilmainham Scarf.
